Annual Boosters

Will customers please kindly note that dogs will NOT be accepted into this pet hotel unless:

Dogs are fully up to date with their worming and de-flea (this can be with the use of chemical or natural products but if fleas or ticks for example are found then the cost of deflea etc will be re-charged to the customer as we cannot risk an infestation of any type.)  The date of the dogs worming and deflea will be asked and noted on each visit so remember to make a note to give to us.

Dogs must have up to date annual vaccinations (please note that you usually have a month thereafter the expiry date on the vaccination card to ensure your dog is revaccinated but check with your individual vet as to their protocol) ie: if the vaccination shows it expires on your dogs card on 1 January you then have until the 1 February latest to ensure the annual booster is administered

Dogs are required to have up to date kennel cough vaccination or a letter from the vet stating the medical reason they cannot tolerate the vaccine

Alternatively we can accept an in date titre tests showing the animals correct immunity levels

Or we will accept a letter from the vet stating the medical reason they cannot tolerate a particular vaccine and stating that boarding the dog without the use of the vaccine will not be detrimental to itself or the other dogs boarding

Where vaccinations have lapsed please appreciate that the vets may have to re-commence with a full set of vaccinations again as if the animal was a puppy.  Unless you decide to do a titre test which confirms immunity levels are already high enough and therefore an annual booster is not needed

It the dog does have to restart its vaccinations again then basically there is at least one months gap between them restarting their vaccinations and them being allowed to stay at the pet hotel

You need to speak to your individual vets to see the type of vaccinations they use as there are now different time scales for ages and dates when these can be administered; therefore the necessary timescales may be different and you have to bear this in mind

Should your dog have its annual booster or the nasal version of the KC then it must do so at least 2 weeks prior to boarding with us  If it is the injectable KC then it is one month prior for the first year.  Annually then it is just one injection but again it must be given at least 2 weeks prior.
